Rightly so.  Not everything is better as an application extension.  But
here's a case where using dynamic link code can make sense--it leverages
[buzz] a small amount of effort (writing the saver) by using LW for the
pre-built interface and database manager.

The trouble is, LW doesn't have an explicit Object Export plug-in class.
It's not too hard to get around this, but it means that savers don't have
an agreed place in the interface to meet--in particular, you can't just
hit "Save" and get a list of formats, the way you can for images.
